December?????!!!!!

Oh my gosh! It is already a week into December! I love this time of year and always want it to last! Before Jourdan left we were able to take the kids to see Santa. I was expecting Ewan to be a little nervous. He wasn't at all! He practically jumped from my arms to his arms. Bella was so cute with him also! She kept asking if he was the real Santa and if he really knew who she was. :) Mady was just excited to talk about gifts......

My Husband...... The Director

Most of you know (all 2 of you who read:) that Jourdan is on his way to becoming a Feature Film Director.( http://www.roguerivermovie.com/ ) I can not even begin to explain how excited we all are for him. He leaves us next week to start filming his first movie in Oregon. He is so excited to have a couple of "big" name actors. (big name if your into horror movies) Jourdan is such a hard working dedicated person that I am sure he will do amazing at his job. Me on the other hand.... My job for the next month while he is gone will be single mom. I don't think I will be as amazing as him. Good yes (most days) amazing.......????? The idea of him being gone so long has made me way more emotional then I thought I would be. This is the longest we will go without seeing each other in 12 years. Thank God for ichat. :)
**Disclaimer*** Although Jourdan looks all important in this photo Really we were on a hike and he was talking to his MOM!! Don't want it all to go to his head. :) Love you Babe.

2

This boy turned 2 last weekend. I can not believe how fast 2 years have gone by. I feel like I just wrote a post on his 1st birthday! He is still such a fun happy boy but boy have the 2's set in. He is super active and curious. Ready to climb anything, jump off anything, and even plug anything into any available outlet. Childproofing??? This guy is to smart for most of it and what he hasn't figured out yet he will very soon. :) I love that he still snuggles a lot, and even though he isn't talking I always know what he wants or needs. Happy Birthday big Boy!

And no I did not take one picture of his birthday party. Hello #3 I will try harder :)

Wordless Wednesday

I know this is a very blurry picture but you get the idea. :) We have known each other since we were babies. This one is from January 1998 I was 14 almost 15 (i know shocking) and Jourdan was 16. We were, WERE dorks! Now we are super cool adults. :)

Around the House: October

Reading: East of Eden by John Steinbeck

Enjoying: Mommy time with the kids.

Learning: Just how different boys are from girls. I know I have said it many times but the things this boy pulls on me the girls never would have dreamed of doing.

Watching: Well tonight it will be last nights episode of Mad Men. I am loving that show.

Anticipating: Hmmmm. Ok this sounds nuts, Christmas. I love the time of year. It will definitely be a different Christmas for us this year with Jourdan out of town for the month but I will still enjoy it with the kids. Maybe we can even watch National Lampoons Christmas Vacation together over ichat???

Realizing: How blessed I am to have such a great husband. Even though I give him a rough time for spending so much time away working right now, I know he is trying his hardest for our family.

Pondering: Hmmmm........

Studying: Ruth and Esther and really enjoying it.

Wondering: How bed time will go tonight. If the kids will freak out or go to bed easily.

Remembering: Not much..... my brain is kind of frazzled at this time of day. :)

Praying: That our family stays healthy and that everything works out well for Jourdan's movie. :)

Field Trip

Last week Bella and I headed to Bishops pumpkin Farm. I had never been before..... WOW! It is huge! It was fun getting to do something with just Bella. Her favorite part was the pig races mine was the apple pie. She did not want to share with me. :)
Bella with possibly the sweetest boy ever, Trey. :)
After this picture was taken the lady commented on how much Bella looks like me.

4

4 Movies I wonder if I will ever be able to watch again............

* Steel Magnolias
* Term of Endearment
* StepMom
* The Family Stone

I really love all these movies but for obvious reasons can only make it about half way through each one. I have seen them all many times and know how they all end but the emotions that come out when I watch are to much, so for now I will have to skip on these. :)

My little Bella started school last week. (ok 2 weeks ago) This is her first year ever in school so she was more then ready. She is loving it. She loves pretty much everything about it. Everyday she comes home to tell me what she has whearned. (learned) :)

Check her out ready to get in the van.
Her buddy Trey was the only person she knew. His big sis Haven and Mady are in the same class and are best friends. :)
All ready to go. She was so cute and excited!! I am enjoying a couple of hours with just one child at home! :)

Second Grade

The other day my biggest girl started 2nd grade. I can't believe I have a second grader. :) She is growing up so fast most days it scares Jourdan and I. We want to keep her as young as we can for as long as we can. It is funny how when they go into second grade they know how it all works. She didn't even really want me to walk her to class. "It is room 8 Mom, I can find it". Ummm no I am walking you, deal with it.

She was so excited to have her friend Haven in her class.

CHeck out the big girl:)

Cute words

Is it wrong that I get a kick out of the words my kids mispronounce? I think it is so cute. I also know it is only temporary so I don't do a whole lot of correcting. :) Some of the things Bella says are kiweed rather then kiwi, caterpilder, (caterpillar) and The PBS man, rather then the UPS man. The only thing Mady still says "wrong" is Bell peppers, she calls them vell peppers.:) I remember I used to call lawn mowers mow lawners. I outgrew it just like they will. Now if only Ewan would talk!!!

I am so embarrassed with how bad I've been with the blogging!! I promise things will get better:). If anyone still even reads:)

Camping

Camping at Bodega is always fun. With a 20 month old it is very interesting. :) And dirty. The girls loved making sand angels.

Ewan had sand on his face until we got home. :)
My cousins came with us. Here is Emily hiding from the sun. I wasn't as smart.....

Funny Moment

Yesterday at the library Ewan went for his first solo elevator ride.:) ..... Bella, Ewan, and I were there hanging out with my friend Carly and her kids. Every time I turned my back Ewan would take off for the stairs, as I made my way to the stairs yet again I looked at the elevator only to see my 1 year old son looking back at me through the glass......... I made a be line up the stairs just as he was trotting out of the elevator like he was a big shot. So at the time I freaked out but now I see it was pretty funny. I don't have any pictures of it but I thought I would share this one instead. Ewan is my crazy man.

This girl is 7!!!

Madysenn turned 7 last week! We had a pool party with her and her friends on her birthday. She had such a good time! We all did. :) I can't believe I became a mom 7 years ago. She is such an amazing kid. She is growing up so fast it scares me. :)

Summer Vacation

We started our summer vacation this year in Disneyland. Aside from the crazy Disney crowds we had a great time! We got to enjoy 2 days at the park with all of my cousins. (I don't have many:) My 2 youngest cousins are the same age as the girls and LOVE hanging out with each other. The girls get mad at me when I tell them that the boys are my cousins also. They want them all or themselves. :)

Since we have been home we have spent our time swimming, eating, and sleeping. :)

Bella's 4!!

I finally have a working computer!! Yeah!! Bella turned 4 on the 31st. I can't believe she is already 4. I feel like it wasn't that long ago that she was born. She has been doing so much growing up lately. She is a great big sister and a great little sister. :-) We had such a fun time celebrating her birth.

At our house on her actual birthday.

Check out my brother in this one. Dork!

Pinnate fun.

The birthday girl opening her gifts. We didn't get many pics. Mady took most of the ones we did get.

Crashed

Sorry for the lack of posting. But my computer crashed! We (meaning Jourdan) have been working on the computer for the past couple of weeks. I now have a working computer but for the time being have lost ALL of my pictures from 2005 to present. Needless to say I have been freaking out! Jourdan promises that (for a price) they can be saved. So here is a tip unless you want to pay hundreds saving pictures BACK UP! So for now I have no pictures. But I will soon.

This is my friend Sheree's little girl she is having heart surgery next month and her and her family need our prayers. You can check out her blog in my blog list. The Phamily blog.

Big Mistake

So I messed up Ewan's hair big time! I have been cutting his hair since he was about 11 months old. I have always done it on a 4. Which is the longest I could do it. Today I sat him down to cut his hair. It was extra long since I have not cut it in about 2 months. I started on his right then went to the middle and well..... You can see what happened. The guard came off and I kept cutting. I screamed so loud Jourdan thought I was hurt he came running out and got mad when I wasn't. :-) I ended up scaring Ewan also. Bella came over and said he looking like papa. (my balding dad) I sat for a little bit wondering what to do. Jourdan said to just buzz it. I couldn't go that short so I did a #2 the rest of the way. You can still totally tell where the super short part is but I could not bring myself to do it all that short. SO lesson learned, either pay for a hair cut or be prepared for it to be messed up.

The end result he is still super cute! He now has "the Mucher do". Every boy on my side of the family has this hair cut. :-)
Ps. I am curious as to who reads this blog. I get very few comments but have been told people read it. So if you do, boost my ego and leave a comment. Even if it just "hi" or "don't cut your sons hair again".  :-)

Mothers Day

In honor of Mothers day I thought I would share this. I found this around this time of year last year. On the front it says My daughter is becoming just like me! Lucky girl! I had planed on getting rid of it (it wasn't my style) before I knew what was on the other side. I had completely forgotten that my mom had gotten it for Jourdan for his birthday. I know it seems like a weird gift for my husband but my mom's gifts sometimes were a little silly. Anyways on the back my mom had written a quick little note to Jourdan that I ABSOLUTELY love now! It says " Dear Jourdan, May you have many wonderful loving memories of laughter, humor, silliness, fun, and compassion with our fiesty, opinionated, excellent mother, wife and daughter Kirsten.
Much Love respect and compassion Cheri and JIm.
I can not even begin to explain how awesome  it is to have in writing something from my mom. I am so thankful for all of my memories with her. ANd also thankful that I am "becoming just like her".  OK now that I am crying I need to stop writing about my mom. :-)

I had a great mothers day with my kids. Madysenn was so excited to give me all 50 cards she had made. She even brought me breakfast in bed. Muffin tops with fruit. :-) We had an awesome  dinner at my dads house. And this is pretty shocking..... Got a picture with all 5 of us looking at the camera! Check out Ewan's cheese ball smile. :-) Happy (late) Mothers day!
