29

Jourdan turned 29 last week! It is kind of crazy to think that he is 29, I remember celebrating his 17th birthday with him! Most of the time we still act 17 (more him then me). :) I feel so lucky to have him in my life. He is such an amazing husband and father. I could not imagine facing life's joys and challenges with anyone else.

ps. Enjoy your last year in your 20's babe! You'll be 30 before me!!

Mothers Day

Mothers day has taken on a new meaning these past couple of years. This year was nice. We had a nice early breakfast out and spent the rest of the day just hanging out as a family. It was my day to not change one diaper. :)

Part 2

Just some more pictures from our trip.

Surprise!!

Two weeks ago Jourdan and I decided to surprise the kids and take them to Disneyland. And by surprise I mean get in the car SURPRISE we are going to Disneyland!! This was the first time in years we had gone with just the 5 of us. In the past we either brought my mom or Jourdan's mom or Uncle Brent or we would meet up with our southern California family. We had so much fun the 5 of us. The weather was great and the crowds were ok. We did participate in the Disney give a day get a day so we were able to get special fast passes for the rides with long lines. It was well worth volunteering to save most likely hours in line. :)

This was Mady's shocked face. Notice Bella not looking very happy well she was under the impression we were going to the Zoo and was not happy (at first) to find out we would not be going to the Zoo. ;)
The restaurant in New Orleans square has some of the best food.

Ewan LOVED the train! I mean LOVED it! Both Casey junior and the big one that goes around the park. :)
He's pretty in love with Buzz also.

Father Daughter Dance 2010

Last month Mady and her Daddy went to their first father daughter dance. For about a month we heard about it 45 times a day. Who was going, what kind of dress they had, would they dance, would daddy act silly, was Haven going?? Needles to say Mady was very excited. So was Jourdan. Getting a chance to spend one on one time with one of our kids is sometimes tough to do so it was exciting that they had the chance. :) Check out his matching pok-a-dot bow tie!

Mady and her best friend Haven! These two girls have a ton of fun together.

Long Lost Blog!!

Sorry for the serious lack of blogging. I blame it on being a single mom for 5 weeks, the holidays, and pure exhaustion! Other then totally flaking on some blog updates I feel like the 5 weeks Jourdan was gone went really well. Sure I had a couple moments of wanting to bang my head into a wall but I refrained from doing so. (barley) But for the most part all was good. The kids and I had a good time with each other. If it is at all possible I feel like we even got a little closer. I did learn some things about myself while he was gone. I learned that I can do it. It is funny when your spouse is gone you just grin and bear it, get the job done, because nobody else is legally obligated to come over and do the dishes, laundry, cleaning, butt whipping, gift buying, gift wrapping, car pool driver, .............. I also learned that I only shave my legs during the winter for my husband. :) (TMI??) But once we had him back it was great. The kids and I enjoyed having him home for Christmas very very much!

So some holiday pictures. I will start with the day before Christmas eve. My brother and Uncle have started a tradition of going snow boarding that day and they bring home a ton of snow in the back of my bothers truck. All the kids love it! My cousins are the same age as my girls and the 4 of them had a blast! I am hoping Brent and Joe keep up with the tradition even though I got my brother pretty good in the ear with a snow ball and he said he wouldn't. ;) It was totally worth it!

Ewan was pretty confused by the whole thing. After about 10 minutes we had to bring him in because his fingers were frozen!
